Oris Aquis Date 41 green gold: Too much of a good thing?

The Oris Aquis Date Calibre 400 is now also available in green, steel and gold. A pretty expressive watch, that will not be to everyone’s taste.

Price
The watch is reasonably priced at 3.450 euros.

Size
The case diameter is 41 millimeter, it measures 48 lug to lug and the thickness is 13 millimeter. The number crushing continues with the depth rate, which is 300 meters.

Movement
The Calibre 400 offers a 5 day power reserve, coming from two mainspring barrels. The accuracy is -3/+5 seconds a day, which means it is within chronometer standards.

#Oris
Oris has been making watches since 1904 in Hölstein, Switzerland. And they are independent, meaning they can follow their own beliefs.
And what they believe in, is good value for money. They don’t make the world’s most complicated watches, instead they focus on reliability and functionality.

Why I chose it
Comparing it to the previous Aquis I reviewed, it really has become a completely different watch. It’s expressive and even show-off-ish, something we don’t see very often from Hölstein. It’s not a tool watch anymore.
