Today I'm starting the process of upgrading the sound system on my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. I've already installed a double DIN headunit in a previous video. This is a full walkthrough from how to remove the doors to how to set up and wire the speakers. Stay tuned for the next 2 stages of this install which will be installing a subwoofer and 5-channel amp, followed by a full soundproofing treatment on the car.
Things I used:
Solder connectors - https://amzn.to/2KjADqp
Polk DB6502/652 - https://amzn.to/2XOtmqA

**Update - After running these speakers for about a month I've found that the stock tweeter location in the Legacy causes the highs to get a little lost in the mix. If you really want to get the best out of your speakers (specifically the Polks if you go this route) take the time to mount the tweeters closer to head level. The mirror caps on top of the door card are great for this. You can see what I mean if you hold the tweeter in your hand with music playing and move the position around to hear the differences.
