The most amazing 24 hours of wildlife photography.

In this video, I take on an adventure of spending a late evening and early morning immersed in nature—just me, my camera, and the wild. Armed with my Nikon Z9 and the incredible 400mm f/2.8 lens, I set out to see what I can capture over the course of the best light available in the golden hour of late evening and early morning.

From the golden hour of dusk through, into the very first light of early morning, this adventure is packed with unforgettable moments and a few surprises I never saw coming. Every hour brings something new—different species, changing light, and the unique atmosphere that only comes from truly slowing down and letting nature come to you.

Whether it’s the hush of the woods at sunrise, the sudden rush of wings overhead, or the mysterious sounds of nightfall, this experience was as much about being present as it was about photography. The Nikon Z9 and 400mm f/2.8 combination gave me the reach and quality to capture wildlife at its best, while the challenge of photographing on little sleep pushed me to keep looking, keep listening, and keep shooting.
