Leticia, Colombia—a scrappy little town where three countries collide. It’s the gateway to the Amazon, where we begin our journey into a world untouched by time.

Greicy, my guide, grew up in this wild place. She’s as much a part of the jungle as the trees and the creatures that call it home. I’ll hike deep into the green abyss with her, sampling medicinal plants that look more like something out of a witch’s brew. “Eat this? Sure, why not?”

The Amazon River is alive. It breathes. It pulses. From the sloths lazing in the canopy to the menacing ripple of a predator just beneath the surface, this place doesn’t just demand your attention—it takes it.

As the day fades, the pink river dolphins appear graceful and strange as we fish on the riverbank. And then, because the Amazon demands participation, not observation, I dive in. Into the chocolate-colored waters, into the unknown.

This isn’t a vacation. It’s an experience—raw, unfiltered, and unforgettable.
