This video shows how to refurbish a scratched cabochon gemstone. When a well-worn piece of jewelry comes in for repair and refurbishment, the cabochon often has lost it's sheen and is quite scratched. Or perhaps during the making process the cabochon picks up scratches on the bench. Use sandpaper to remove the scratches on the cabochon and then finish the polish with diamond abrasive compound.
