The Germans are met by an American reconnaissance, and must prevail against the Allied armored convoy close behind. Filmed at the annual WW2 Days reenactment in Rockford, IL with over 1,000 reenactors. All musical credit to Immediate Music and Groove Addicts.
The soundbites go as follows:
0:08-0:26 - Hitler, speaking after his election to the Chancellorship, 1933.
0:29-0:46 - Churchill, his Great Declaration before the Allies, 1941.
0:47-1:18 - Goebbels, delivering his "Totaler Krieg" speech, 1943.
1:32-1:45 - (same as above.)
1:46-2:00 - Roosevelt, praying for troops on D-Day, 1944.
2:07-2:17 - Hitler, speaking after his election to the Chancellorship, 1933.
2:20-2:30 - Eisenhower, speaking to troops on D-Day, 1944.
2:37-2:55 - Churchill, his Great Declaration before the Allies, 1941.
3:02-3:17 - Goebbels, location and date unknown to me.
3:18-3:33 - Churchill, speaking in County Hall, London, 1941.
3:34-3:47 - Hitler, speaking at a (Nuremberg?) rally, date unknown to me.
3:51-END - Roosevelt, Flag Day Address, 1942.
This year, I decided to go even bigger than just the battle itself and attempt to explain why these nations are fighting one another. This is where the soundbites come in. At the deepest root of German expansion is anger - anger for a humiliated and collapsed Germany in the wake of WWI. This is why Hitler is speaking of financial collapse at the video's beginning, and also why I twice put in soundbites emphasizing November 1918 - when Germany surrendered. Many Germans felt they had been betrayed by their leadership, and felt they could've continued and ultimately won the war. And now here at last, as they saw it, was the opportunity to set things right, to finish WWI and redeem the weakness that followed. WWII was a direct result of WWI, and in many ways its continuation.
The United States, on the other hand, is fighting, not for its immediate survival, but for its ultimate survival, as both Roosevelt and Eisenhower point out. This is America's sole interest; not to seize other lands for itself, but by securing the safety of other countries, as Americans believed, it would guarantee its own safety at home. As for Great Britain, represented by Winston Churchill (whom I have simultaneously used to represent the feelings of the Alliance as a whole), they are fighting for their immediate survival against foreign governance and against an ideological regime that seeks to impose and fulfill its own evil goals.

This reenactment was done with blank rounds, which means the shells have gunpowder but no projectile. Pyrotechnics were set off by observers nearby. If you are interested in reenacting, just keyword it and look for a unit near you.
