This SG is a rare piece! The SG-62 was the first Gibson re-release of an SG model. It was introduced in 1986, fitting between the Standard and Custom (now based on the SG-62), and was produced until 1991. Compared to the Standard SG, this one has a thinner neck, a historically more faithful pickguard, a deeper bevel (particularly in the missing areas), the neck set to the 22° fret with a '61-style heel strike, the traditional control layout, nickel-plated hardware. Solid and beveled Honduran mahogany body, 1 piece quarter-cut Honduran mahogany neck, Two Humbucker PAF classic '57 Magnets AlNiCo II 7.9k Ohm of resistance, Larger headstock than other SGs, lack of dot on the i in the Gibson logo, ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, Schaller Deluxe tuners. It arrives in its original Brown hard case quite lived. Sound and playability have an incredible, strong personality for an instrument that doesn't go unnoticed. Perfect keys and original electronics and 100% fully functional.
