On this day 31 years ago, a man was hanged for crimes so inhumane, it angered the whole nation.
That man was Adrian Lim.
In the early 1980s, two young children, Agnes Ng Siew Heok and Ghazali bin Marzuki were murdered. The police subsequently captured Adrian Lim, his wife Catherine Tan Mui Choo, and his mistress Hoe Kah Hong.
The trio were ultimately hanged on Nov. 25, 1988.
