Sudan conflict enters third year as army regains control of most of Khartoum

The conflict between Sudan’s army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces is entering its third year, with the army now in control of most of the capital Khartoum. The battles to regain the capital took months, with battles in many residential districts, leading to destruction and displacement.
