Building the Foundations of a New City - Suncrest County | Cities Skylines 2

Today we officially begin the full build of Suncrest County, my biggest and most ambitious Cities: Skylines II project yet. This entire region is inspired by the Pacific Coast, the Gulf, and the spirit of California, Washington, and Florida — all wrapped into a gritty, modern twin-city setup that I cannot wait to bring to life.

We’re starting this series on TwoDollarsTwenty’s incredible Marble Mountain map, which gives Suncrest County the perfect blend of coastal valleys, steep ridges, and dramatic elevation changes. It’s honestly the ideal canvas for this style of city.

In this episode, we’re tackling the foundations of Suncrest City:

🌉 Detailing the tunnel entrance leading into the Suncrest Bridge
🏙️ Laying out the initial downtown grid and midtown transition
⚡ Building and detailing the Suncrest Power Plant — a hillside gas facility inspired by Richmond’s Refinery Hill and Rodeo’s Union Oil plant

I had an awesome time experimenting with new techniques, pushing outside my comfort zone, and trying to create something unique for this world. And this is just the beginning — Suncrest County is going to be massive.
