Gajendra Stuti is a Stuti from the 8th canto, 3rd chapter of the Srimad Bhagavatam. In this stuti, the elephant Gajendra surrenders at Lord Naryana's feet and asks for him to come and protect and save him from the clutches of the crocodile. With Lord Vishnu's grace, Gajendra attains Moksham, or liberation from this cycle of birth and death (Samsaram). It has been said in Srimad Bhagavatham, that anyone who listens to Gajendra Moksham, or recites the Gajendra Stuti, Bhagavan himself assures us, that in our anthimakala (last days), even if we forget him, he will take us under his wing. That is the phalan (fruit) of Gajendra moksham. The best time to read this Stuti is in the morning. This is in Bhupalam - a morning ragam in Carnatic music. Let us all pray to God, to protect all of us, and bless all of us, and to help us keep him in our mind at all times.
