Need something to fill up your colorful Easter eggs besides jelly beans and melting chocolate? Consider the memorably educational fun of a “resurrection egg” hunt. You may have kids hunt for the eggs or simply present them in a carton, but here are a dozen possible ideas for stuffing eggs with true symbols of Easter.
As you open the eggs with students, you can pause to talk about the meaning behind each item, looking up verses as you go. To make things extra challenging (or lengthen the lesson), you could even place verses in separate eggs, and have children match the verse with the corresponding symbol. Of course, there are many possible items that you could use. Feel free to adjust or add/subtract/swap as best fits your group.
