𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐔𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐗𝐈𝐒 𝟐𝐃
In this tutorial, the procedure for performing slope stability analysis of multi-layered soil using PLAXIS 2D was demonstrated. The slope geometry was defined through boreholes, and the soil properties were assigned using the Mohr-Coulomb model. The factor of safety (FS) of the slope was estimated by applying the Shear Strength Reduction Method (SRM), and the potential failure surface was identified. Finally, the Deformation-FS curve at the toe of the slope was drawn to illustrate the relationship between deformations and stability.
