California Central Coast Steam Trains

California's Central Coast is home to some spectacular scenery as well as two very unique narrow gauge steam railroads. In April of 2025, Dak Dillon Photography organized a two day photo and video event at the Pacific Coast railroad in Santa Margarita and the Norgrove Railway in Arroyo Grande. Both of these railroads are owned by individuals and are only open for special occasions or private events. In this preview video, we will take a look at several scenes I captured as part of this photography event. A total of 5 operable steam locomotives were featured over the course of the two days, including a triple headed steam train! Additional videos with more in depth coverage of both of these railroads and their unique steam locomotives will be posted at a later date.
