2025 KTM 390 Adventure R & Enduro R Unveiled At EICMA | India Launch In 2025

And it’s here finally! The much awaited KTM 390 Adventure R has finally been revealed at the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. Ushering in a whole new dimension to adventure touring in the sub-400 cc segment, the new range of KTM 390 Adventure bikes are lighter, quicker, and more powerful than the first-generation ADVs. The first thing one will notice is the new design language as it takes inspiration from KTMs Dakar Rally bikes.

The new bike should be quite capable in off-road conditions, and those fully adjustable, the raised USD fork and monoshock further help reinstate that confidence. The suspension units are adjustable on the R variant with 230 mm of travel. Seat height is pretty tall at 860 mm. Lastly, proper block-pattern tyres shod around spoke wheels (sadly non tubeless) will leave no doubts about the bike’s dual purpose.Nestled inside the new frame is the same 399 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill from the current-gen KTM 390 Duke. This engine is good for 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm, and it comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter.

So, while the output figures might remain the same in the adventure bike, we might see a change in the final drive or gearing ratios, to suit the 390 Adventure R’s character. The KTM 390 Adventure R is expected to command a slightly higher price than the current-gen 390 Adventure given the kind of updates it has received. We estimate that prices will start around ₹3.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 390 Adventure R and it could go on sale in India by early 2025.
