The Catalinbread Elements Overdrive is a versatile and inspiring Tube Screamer derivative. Despite having only a single volume control, many sounds can be obtained through pickup selection, guitar volume, picking position and dynamics.
Recording setup:
The sound from the pedal is recorded through a TC Electronic Wiretap, then directly imported into a DAW, where a capture of my previous Boss GT1 preset is applied through NAM (Neural Amp Modeler). Minor EQ tweaks are also applied to tame frequencies above 6kHz from the NAM model.
