China Showcases Advanced Tanks, Armored Vehicles at Zhuhai Airshow

China showcased some advanced battle tanks and armored vehicles on Wednesday at the ongoing Airshow China 2018 in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong Province.

The armored vehicles presented at the show were developed by the North China Industries Group Corporation (NORINCO).

The participating battle tanks and armored vehicles are represented by VT4 main battle tank, VT5 light tank, VN17 infantry fighting vehicle.

Equipped with strong weapons systems and advanced information systems, these vehicles are superior either in strike capability or in trafficability and maneuverability.

VN1 8X8 wheeled infantry fighting vehicle, VP22 armored transport vehicle, VN21 wheeled ground-based common platform, VP11 mine resistant ambush protected (MRVP) vehicle also demonstrated their outstanding performances in climbing longitudinal slope, wading pool and S maneuver.

Armored vehicles from China South Industries Group Corporation also appeared on the show.

The "leopard cat" series of all-terrain vehicles dazzled visitors to the airshow with their excellent maneuverability and pivot steering performance.

Some other MRAP vehicles such as CS/VP3 also showed up at the show.

The week-long airshow kicked off on Tuesday this year. As the country's biggest gathering of aircraft makers and buyers, it has been held in Zhuhai every two years since 1996. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20181107...
