Ep88 | Life at Sea: Arriving to Lunenburg in thick fog (1st time sailing in Canada) | Linnea Sailing

They say Lunenburg is one of the most beautiful cities to approach from the sea, but how would we know when we arrived in a thick fog making it impossible to see anything but a few meters ahead?

In this episode we say good bye to sailing in the USA and leave rather hastily as a good weather window suddenly appeared. After going through the Cape Cod Canal we pointed our bow towards Lunenburg and Canada. Arriving just to find out that the they wanted to send customs down to do an inspection - our very first inspection!

To say the least, Canada show itself from its best side and treated us to a great anchorage, sunny and warm weather and a great first town to visit.

We are Emmy and Marcus, a Swedish couple who has decided to leave our home and set sail out into the world with our boat Linnea. After a season in the Caribbean, we decided to leave Linnea in Trinidad and fly back to Sweden for the hurricane season. This allowed us to get an extra year of sailing and reach even more beautiful destinations for our second season of cruising. For now the goal is Greenland and back home to Sweden, via the Caribbean, BVIs, Bahamas, US east coast, and Canada. But who really knows how far our dreams might take us?
