Fearlessly jumping into the poisoned river, young Krishna challenged Kaliya, drawing him out from the depths of the Yamuna. A fierce battle followed as the massive seven-headed serpent tried to crush Krishna with his coils. But the Lord, smiling with divine confidence, rose above the waters and began the celestial dance upon Kaliya’s many heads.

With every divine step, Krishna shattered Kaliya’s arrogance, purifying the serpent’s poisoned soul. The earth trembled, the heavens watched in awe, and the Yamuna slowly returned to her pure and sacred form. Seeing Kaliya’s defeat, his wives prayed for mercy. Moved by compassion, Shri Krishna spared Kaliya’s life, blessing him and ordering him to leave the Yamuna forever.
