In this video guitar lesson, I will show you note-for-note how to play “Nightrain” by the one and only Guns N’ Roses.

In the first video lesson I will demonstrate all of the chords and guitar riffs. These riffs go from highly melodic triad based riffs that use a lot of the fretboard, to simple yet aggressive bluesy inspired hard rock riffing.

I will cover all of the rhythm parts in this video including the rhythm guitar parts during Slash and Izzy’s guitar solo.

In the second lesson I will show you how to play Slash and Izzy’s killer guitar solo. This solo has lots of bluesy oblique bends, some interval playing (6ths) and the typical Slash shred licks as well.

It is a highly musical solo that seems to take you to a place then eventually bring you back around. It tells a story, just like all great solos do.
