Faster Slicing on Octatrack 💨 // From an Old-school MPC User Perspective

Coming from slicing and chopping samples on an MPC (pre-2007).. I find Slicing on Octatrack to be a bit frustrating. Sure it doesn't have an Auto-chop feature, or transient detect like the newer MPC's, which would Easily solve all these headaches i talk about.. But the flexibility of the Octatrack with it's easy to do parameter locks, crossfader, and all its other quirks is hard to beat when trying to flip a sample and take it a step further. When it comes to manually chopping samples though, its a PAIN to do. But i think i found a pretty good sample chopping tip on the Octatrack that you might find useful.
