This tutorial shows how to read the InventoryLab Category Profitability report so you can compare revenue, profit, and ROI by category. The report aggregates both FBA and MFN sales and refunds, giving you a fast snapshot of which categories perform well and which need attention. Revenue is based on sales data—even when an order remains in “estimated” status—so figures can change during an open settlement period. Reimbursements and overhead (e.g., inbound shipping, promotions) are excluded here, keeping focus on category-level selling performance.
You open Reports → Category Profitability. By default, the view shows the last one month; you can refine with Advanced Search: filter by date range, Order ID, Title, ASIN, MSKU, or scan a UPC. Each row includes sortable columns: Units Sold and Refunded; MFN Shipping Revenue (net of refunds); Percent of Revenue; Profit and ROI; and On Hand (current inventory for that category). At the bottom, the Totals bar rolls up units, revenue, profit, and on-hand inventory across all categories. For a quick visual, hover the bar graph to see per-category summaries.
