Dharma Dhyan | What is the significance of Religion? | Meditation - Pujyashree Deepakbhai

What is dharma (religion)? What is dharma dhyan (meditation)? Prayers, chanting mantras, meditation - is all this religion?

Pujya Deepakbhai explains in this video that dharma is not defined by the mere activities you do - it is your inner intent which will define religion or the lack of it. Praying in a temple, but at the same time thinking ill of someone is not religion.

There are four types of dhyan:
1. Roudra dhyan - which is to hurt / trouble others
2. Artra dhyan - which to worry about one own self, suffering experienced by you.
3. Dharma dhyan - to give happiness to others and to repent for the wrong we would have done and
4. Shukla dhyan - which is awareness of the Soul.
Thus, mere activities won't make up for dharma, but dharma dhyan and the real intent when doing the activities is dharma.
