Painting a Winter Scene in Watercolour - Inspiration Challenge

Here's a little Festive Special for you over the Christmas period. I'm painting a winter scene of my local lane in Sussex, very similar to the scene I filmed at Christmas two years ago. Having filmed that, we then had a nice, light snowfall the very next day... typical! So, I thought I would go back over the image that I took that day, and make a painting of the scene in the lane.

In the video, I encourage you to do the same - find a moment of inspiration that you have captured on video, sketch it out, and then make a watercolour painting (it doesn't have to be a winter scene - anytime is good.) You will also see that I am inviting you to share the results, as I will with this painting, on my landscape painting Members Forum at www.oliverpyle.com. I really look forward to seeing the results and discussing these together with you on the forum in due course. Please don't worry about whether or not you think the results are good enough - the only criteria for the forum is that you enjoy landscape painting, and it is there as a support and learning resource for all levels of ability and experience.
