One of the prototype In-Wheel Motors developed by H2E Technologies Sdn Bhd & Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. This IWM is part of the Development of an In-Wheel Motor for Hybrid Electric Drive System for Automotive REM and other applications under the InnoFund, Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation Malaysia. This project has been developed in 2009-2010. The goal is to produce an Axial-Flux, Permanent Magnet In-Wheel Motor that will be able to be retrofitted in the rear wheels of a car, to assist in city-driving mode, with the capability to regenerate the battery while braking. This Retrofit Hybrid Electric Vehicle (RHEV) project also includes the development of Motor Controller System, Battery Management System and User-Interface System.
