Fitting New Wheels & Tires on Our Nissan Navara D40 Project Truck + Faulty Wheel Hub Discovery

In this video, we’re upgrading our Nissan Navara D40 project truck with a fresh set of 265/60R17 tires mounted on the standard Navara wheels. These tires are a temporary setup to get us rolling while we plan the full lift kit and other major mods down the line.

During the fitment and inspection, we uncovered a faulty wheel hub on the driver’s side — a crucial issue that needed immediate attention before hitting the trails. Watch as we diagnose and discuss the implications of this failure and the steps we’ll take to fix it.

This is a perfect example of why thorough checks are essential even for seemingly simple upgrades. The new tires already improve stance and capability, and once the lift and other modifications are in place, this truck will be ready for some serious off-road adventures.
