‘Massive experiment’: Renewable energy superpowers ‘do not exist’

One Nation Hunter candidate Stuart Bonds claims the Albanese government’s proposition for Australia to become a renewable energy superpower is a “massive experiment” because they “do not exist”.

“What we’ve been exposed to is a massive experiment on the Australian people,” Mr Bonds told Sky News Australia.

“We talked about being a renewable energy superpower – such a thing doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world.

“We burn seven per cent of the coal that we export, so we are currently sending enough coal overseas to power another 14 Australias.

“I propose we keep it here, we burn it here, we power Australia, we give our citizens cheap, reliable energy that we know that works.”
