WE DID IT! WE FINALLY STAYED IN A TREEHOUSE.

If you're a fan of the show Treehouse Masters, then you already know about Treehouse Utopia in Utopia, TX. If you're just looking for cool Treehouse content, Treehouse Utopia was built in 2018 by land owner Laurel Waters and Treehouse Master Pete Nelson. There are four treehouses on the property at Treehouse Utopia that you can stay in. Each of them having their own theme and flair.

The treehouses at Treehouse Utopia are not cheap, but the stay is worth the funds. I haven't stayed at a 5 Star Hotel before, but I feel this is the type of service you would expect from a resort of that magnitude. The treehouses are located on the Sabinal River and are in a very private location. Once you're in your treehouse, you may not want to leave. Laurel told us many guests come to Utopia with grand plans of seeing many parts of the Texas Hill Country, but the majestic scene of the treehouse keeps them in the trees for their entire stay.

We did venture out on Saturday to see what the area had to offer. If you're into motorcycles, as I am, you'll love the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum in Vanderpool, TX. From there, we drove the scenic drive of FM 337 over to Medina, TX to visit The Apple Store. After some well delicious bacon cheeseburgers and apple cinnamon ice cream, we moseyed on down the road to Bandera, TX. I had no idea Bandera was the Cowboy Capital of the World, but I do now. We finished off our drive and rubbernecking through Tarpley, TX to try and stop at Mac and Ernie's Roadside Eatery, but they were closed due family matters. Naps and lounging were on the agenda for the rest of the afternoon before we went to The Laurel Tree for dinner. WOW, now that was some REALLY good food!!! It turns out the treehouse at The Laurel Tree is where the idea for Treehouse Utopia grew its roots.

It was almost sad to wake up on Sunday knowing we had to head home. I took a dip in the swimming hole in front of the treehouses, we drank coffee on the porches and tried to take it all one last time. The treehouses at Treehouse Utopia are magical and it makes me want to visit more treehouses. If you have suggestions, leave them in comments below!
