When Les left home his father told him 'You can go anywhere in this world with soap and water and a civil tongue in your head' and so they did. Although not always treated as kindly as they would have liked to have been this DVD shows exactly what it was that still kept them travelling for many scenes along the road side could have come straight out of a Munnings oil painting. Watching the sun going down whilst swopping anecdotes around an open fire, then up early morning with the mist still hanging over the fields and the sun glinting through the leaves. Their love of a closeness to nature and the natural world can not be over emphasised and now that they have been forced to abandon the road Les and Edna tell how they crave the creake of wagon wheels and sounds of hoofs a plod.
The dog Lassie running alongside, then caring for their tired horses and their love of the fireside, kettle tea and pot roasts.
