Welcome to Edirne! Or better said, the gate to Europe!
Edirne is a province that borders 2 countries at the same time: Greece and Bulgaria
With such a close distance to foreign countries, you can imagine that Edirne went through a lot in the past, but more about history later!

First, I wanna show you my absolute favorite place in Edirne: The Gökcetepe Nature Park (Zipline)
It has an area of over 5.000 hectares and is located at the Gulf of Saros. The water here has such a high percentage of salt that it is one of the rare places in the world that cleans itself! There are only 5 self-cleaning gulfs in the world and one of them is right here in Edirne.
Did you know that Edirne is also a great place for scuba diving? Due to the special features of this gulf there are lots of different fish species in the water. There is also an underwater city and a ship wreck to discover!
There are many activities in the nature park itself. Those who come to the park can stay in tent camping or caravan accommodation or in natural wood and stone houses.
All of these houses are powered entirely by solar energy and they are even separating their trash!
It is like a small village at the seaside surrounded by a pine forest.
You can also play paintball, there are bushcraft workshops and nature sports in the nature park. The place is only 2,5h from Istanbul (4hours if you come with Murat or Serce) and a great getaway from the hectic city life!
