Linda Jean Stokley & Montana Hobbs AKA The Local Honeys - from Kentucky, performing a song of their own called "Cigarette Trees" which is a strip mining protest song inspired by the film "Sludge" and written specifically about the Martin County coal slurry spill of 2000. This disaster made an everlasting impact on the area and its people. The song also earned the ladies the bluegrass and overall winners of the Chris Austin songwriting contest (2017) at Merlefest in Wilkesboro, NC and you can find it on their debut album called "Little girls actin like men."
