Platypus X Mod - Full Playthrough

It's been a while, but I have finally returned to Platypus (sort of)! This time, however, I decided to try out a mod for it, partially as a way of preparing for the remake, but also because I've been wanting to try this mod out for a good while now and either didn't have the time or (more often) forgetting about the game itself. And I chose this because just from looking at some screenshots and the trailer I knew the mod might as well be among the best ones I've ever seen for this game, if not the best one (unless the Zhark mod beats it, made by the same creator, I'll try that one out eventually too).

Anyhow, after playing the mod, I basically have nothing to say other than good things, really. The guy didn't need to put in this much effort into a mod, but he did and it was damn worth it. Even went as far as making custom music for it, which is a banger. My favorite is perhaps Baddie Tune 1, since it fits into the length of the boss battles much better than both the original Baddie Tune 1 (way too long) and the one featured in current versions of Platypus (36-second loop, too damn short).
My muscle memory did get messed up a few times, though, mostly with the flip planes being much smaller than the originals (the first one killed me because I forgot about it and I didn't even notice it due to how small it was), and the green uns ships lacking their top thruster when damaged enough, which messed with me during 3-3 a bit. I don't think the green uns caused me any issues because of this (I rammed one at some point on accident but it was unrelated to this)
But perhaps the only real issue I had with the mod is the size of the ship itself. I died in 4-3 due to the ship being 5 pixels bigger in height and the space you get to go between the group of 4 green uns aligned vertically was already tight as-is. Combine this with the fact the bottom part of uns is dark, the bottom part of the player ship is dark and the background itself is also pretty dark and it feels almost impossible to actually fit the ship between the green uns during this part without just dying.
Anyhow otherwise this is a really good mod still. I am pretty rusty though, and my hand did kinda shake at certain parts because I need to get used to spamfiring for a long time again, but also my hands already kinda hurt from going to the gym earlier. That said I did also die once or twice because of lack of focus...oops. During 4-2 I kinda just died with my lightning by ramming into a gunship because I was looking at my phone for a sec rather than playing the game or pausing it briefly like I should have :p. Anyhow needless to say some of my deaths were kinda embarrassing, but at least it was still a 1CC in the end, and I had quite a bit of fun playing the mod overall.
