Hydeia Broadbent will be honored at the 2014 PhRMA Research and Hope Awards for Excellence in Visibility and Progress.
Miss Broadbent is one of a few young activists to follow in Ryan White's footsteps and speak out on an international level about being affected by HIV/AIDS. Broadbent is also considered a pioneer as the first African-American youth to speak up and speak out about the epidemic.
