When lightning strikes a tree it can be very detrimental to the trees health and survival. This red oak got the “short end of the stick”. Unable to compartmentalize properly and fully, moisture was able to penetrate and decay was able to take over. After some improper pruning, multiple limbs failing, and sun scald becoming prominent on upper scaffolding branches, it was time for her to come down. Thank God for a clear drop zone 🙏
