B：Summer, 你梦游吗？do you sleepwalk?
S：Yeah, my mom told me when I was a kid, I was found sleepwalking twice, 有一次睡着后直接坐了起来，还有一次在那里爬窗户栏杆
B：That sounds like a dangerous move, and I read from somewhere that kids tend to sleepwalk more than adults and it'll stop when you grow up.
S：嗯嗯是的，小孩更容易梦游，可能是精力充沛，睡觉的时候都要动，都要走，所以怪不得梦游的英文就是这个 sleepwalk
B：哈哈对，在梦里走路，这里的sleep和walk 是连起来的一个词，是一个动词，所以问别人你梦游吗？就可以直接说 Do you sleepwalk?
S：嗯嗯，梦游的人是 sleepwalker，so we can also say are you a sleepwalker? So, Blair, are you a sleepwalker?
B：I'm not. I don't sleepwalk. And actually the whole sleepwalking thing doesn't make much sense to me. I mean, how can you walk without knowing it?
S：Yeah, so that's why sleepwalking is a kind of sleep disorder. 所以梦游其实也是一种睡眠障碍，但是啊，如果只是单纯的梦里走下路，其实也没什么，可怕的是现在还发现有一种这样的梦游，sexsomnia
B：Yeah, that's a rare type of sleep disorder. 非常罕见啊，那到底这个sexsomnia是什么样的梦游呢？Let's find out in today's podcast.
S：那我们来看这种梦游症的名字，sexsomnia，其实是由两个单词组成的，sex and somnia，后面这个somnia可能大家不认识
B：But you'll know this word, insomnia. somnia 不认识很正常，因为这不是个词，但是前面加上 in-，insomnia 这个就是个很常见的单词了，意思是失眠
S：嗯嗯这几天其实我们都聊到了失眠这个事，因为都有家里人失眠，真的是很痛苦，They all suffer from insomnia.
B：所以这个somnia也是和睡觉相关，so sexsomnia, actually, is also known as sleep sex. In this case, people engage in sexual behaviors while sleeping.
S：嗯，其实就是说梦游的时候会进行性行为，这是不是你更加不能理解的，it is beyond you why this could even happen.
B：Yeah! According to the research, though their eyes may be open and they may make sexual noises, they are sleeping during these activies. 在这个过程中，眼睛还是睁开的。虽然我妈妈有时候也会说我，睡觉的时候睁着眼睛，但是我顶多就是睁着眼睛躺着，绝对不会做这种奇奇怪怪的事
S：哈哈你睁着眼睛睡觉也挺奇怪的，不过和sexsomnia比起来，确实不算什么，and for those who have sexsomnia, once they're awake, they're unaware of their behavior.
B：对，他们醒来之后，对自己做了什么也是完全没有意识的，醒过来，动词是wake up，这里的awake就是个形容词，they can't remember anything after they're awake.

S：那我觉得这种sexsomnia，就很可能会被一些别有用心的人利用，Some criminals might take advantage of this existence of this kind of sleep disorder.
B：Exactly. It's difficult to tell whether you actually suffer from sexsomnia or you're just a rapist. Rapist 就是强奸犯
S：那你说这种罪犯假装自己有sexsomnia的案例是真实存在的吗？
B：Yes, in 2014, a rapist in the UK claimed that he suffered from sexsomnia and couldn't remember attacking a teenage girl at a party. But after investigation, he was found guilty and faced jail.
S：嗯嗯那这个罪犯的谎言就被揭穿了，还是被判了有罪，Anyway, sexsomnia is very rare, and if someone is actually suffers from it, he or she should go to the doctor and get treatments.
B：嗯嗯是的，这种sexsomnia在医生的帮助下，还是可以治好的，不然真的伤人害己

S：对，而且我们生命三分之一的时间都在睡觉，高质量的睡眠真的很重要，而且英语中也有很多和睡觉啊，sleep 相关的表达
B：Yeah, we can talk about that. Alright, first, Summer, I wanna ask you, do you know some other ways of saying going to sleep?
S：睡觉，最常见的表达肯定是 go to sleep, go to bed, 不过正好前几天我看美剧，摩登家庭里，老爸phil就用了另一个表达，he said, I'll hit the sack.
B：Hit the sack. S-a-c-k, sack, it's an informal way of saying a bed. 所以这个hit the sack 就是表示 hit the bed, go to bed, 去睡觉这个意思
S：对，这个sack本意是麻布袋，那条件艰苦的时候没有床，只能睡麻布袋，所以就沿用下来了，hit the sack，这个表达是非正式的
B：那类似这种的口语表达还有个 hit the hay，h-a-y，hay 意思是那种干的草，所以原来也睡草垛，to hit the hay.
S：我累了，我要睡觉了，I'm tired, I'm going to hit the hay.
B：爸爸妈妈也可以对家里的小朋友说这句话，You need to hit the hay. Or you need to hit the sack.
S：那讲到叫小孩去睡觉，还有个表达我觉得特别有爱，to tuck in，这个就是专门用来对小孩说的
B：Yeah, that's so cute. When my mom asked me to sleep when I was a kid, she would make me so comfortable in bed by moving the blankets to the right position.
S：对对，就是这样，爸妈会把小孩的被子边边角角都压好，只露出一个头在外面，特别舒服，那这种盖被子的动作就是 tuck somebody in. 我妈妈帮我把被子盖好，My mom tucked me in when I was little.
B：I missed being tucked in. I missed my mom.
S：太有爱了。ok，那还有个词组，turn in，也是表示睡觉，turn 就是转弯的那个turn，it also means to go to sleep.
B：所以该睡觉了，也可以说 It's time to turn in.
S：嗯嗯今晚要早点睡觉，I think I'll turn in early tonight.
B：那祝你今晚睡个好觉，Sleep well!
S：haha thanks. 诶，像这种表达，我们平常也经常说对吧，晚上和盆友聊天聊到好晚，要睡觉了，就会说，你晚上睡个好觉，那英文中，刚刚贝贝说的就是 Sleep well.
B：嗯嗯这是个很直接的表达，除了说 sleep well, we can also say, sleep tight. And this expression is used a lot.
S：Right. Tight, 紧的，紧实的，其实就是说睡的很安稳，Sleep tight. And it can be used as a way of saying good night to someone.
B：是的，晚安，睡个好觉，Good night, sleep tight.
S：但是我们一开始讲的这个sexsomnia 不知道大家听了，今晚会不会睡不好觉了
B：哈哈希望不会啊，说不定如果大家是晚上听节目，反而催眠睡得更香了呢
