How I install new tires onto clean and painted Budd Safety rims ("split"); NOTE that I DO NOT recommend doing this yourself and if you do, it is at YOUR OWN RISK!!! I am an amateur, have done it, and am merely sharing how I did it. Installing tires onto true bolt-together split rims is different and my methods do not apply.
