I've never uploaded a youtube video about a lego creation but I wanted to document these MOCs and ideas with some details to be able to access and work on them in the future. This video is simply showing a chassis with pushrod suspension. It has 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering. I designed this a couple weeks ago and just got the parts to build it. If you guys have any questions on how it works I'm here to answer. I Will upload an LDCad file i was working with at some point too. Thanks for watching!
Some of the main flaws:
First of all, the wishbone suspension is actually quite long and the amount of travel it has is aswell, meaning that the amount of tension in the spring needed to keep the car raised is quite a lot more than what's required in typical lego suspension systems. This can be fixed by adding more springs or by attaching the shock absorber to a longer lever. The issue with this is that the chassis would have to be made wider in it's current configuration. I'm shelving this idea for now while i think of other solutions. Other minor issues include the wheel hub which is made from a number of smaller parts. The issue is that it is not particularly stable and has limitations as to where I can mount certain links. 6 links, not including the axle, are needed to make it function. Those links include the 4 wishbone suspension arms, the pushrod, and the steering link. Ideally I would be able to use a single piece specific for this purpose but there are few pieces that are compatible with the wishbone arms I have used. Currently I'm eyeing up the hubs from the 42110 landrover set but I am done making bricklink orders for now, it'll have to wait for the next round of inspiration. The last main thing is that the steering is quite unstable. although there is little backlash from the hub itself, the steering link is quite unsteady an is responsible for a lot of instability in the hub. This is mainly due to the way I attatched it to the rack and I think these things can probably be ironed out in the future.

There should be a couple different versions under the 'pushrod systems' folder. You'll need to download bricklink's lego studio software to look at it, I don't have a pdf for this one as yet.
