The Summer Hikaru Died (animatic)

Okay, so, here is my first animatic ever. And I see it as my child now, partly because of how long it is and how much time I’ve put in it. It’s a passion project, started like any imagined scenario you’d think of while listening to some banger music that is “just like you fav character fr”. But oh well, this one got some luck to actually realize itself here now, 9 days later.

I ask you not to consider it a faithful retelling of the plot - because it’s not. quite the contrary. Although it kind of depicts the main events of the manga, there are a lot of inconsistencies. Consider it more of my personal response to the story - since this is basically how I perceived the main source, how I understood it, what was important to me and what I have decided to focus on.

Music used in the video: doomsday by McAlpine. I thought it fitted a whole lot to the plot( just wanted to draw the wedding scene/j )
