ধানের শীষ প্রতীক পেতে গণ-অধিকার পরিষদ থেকে পদত্যাগ করে ঝিনাইদহ চার আসনে বিএনপি প্রার্থী হয়েছেন আলোচিত রাজনীতিবিদ রাশেদ খান। তাঁর এ অবস্থানকে নির্বাচনি কৌশল বলছে গণ-অধিকার। তবে, মাঠে অনড় বিএনপি নেতা সাইফুল ইসলাম ফিরোজ। তাঁর দাবি জনগণ পক্ষে আছে; তাকেই সংসদে দেখতে চান ঝিনাইদহ চার আসনের ভোটাররা।
Rashed Khan, a prominent politician, resigned from the People's Rights Council to get the paddy sheaf symbol and became the BNP candidate for the four seats in Jhenaidah. People's Rights calls his position an election strategy. However, BNP leader Saiful Islam Firoz is adamant on the field. He claims that the people are on his side; the voters of the four seats in Jhenaidah want to see him in parliament.
