To date we have commemorated more than THREE THOUSAND bars and nightclubs from FORTY NINE states in the US, along with several international locations.

In the pursuit of our mission, we have:
Researched and archived thousands of ads from gay bars;
Digitally reconstructed more than 3000 gay bar logos and presented them in a video slideshow;
Spearheaded an initiative with the Stonewall National Museum, Archives & Library to elevate the presence of queer spaces in our historical records;
Conducted more than 150 video interviews with bar owners, entertainers, celebrities and patrons;
Attended events and conferences to spread the word of our LGBTQ+ history to a broader audience;
Encouraged gay bar owners [past and present] to take an active role in the preservation of our safe spaces;
Collected ephemera and memorabilia from gay bars gone by; and
Written numerous articles about gay bars of the past.
We operate a Facebook group with over 7500 active members who share their memories of gay bars across the US.
