💥 💥 💥 It's ladies day once again!! Super excited to be welcoming my friend and guest Alicia Estrada, Character Designer with Scholor.

We have a fun sit down to talk about her passion for bringing more Latinx characters to life, inspiring more women and girls like her, her journey into the industry, her thoughts on the need for more diversity & inclusion in the space, keeping her creativity flowing and much more!!

Alicia Estrada is a Latinx Character Designer/ Concept Artist/ Illustrator from Burbank, CA. Alicia received a B.A. in Art with a focus in Animation from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). At 9-years-old, Alicia remembers watching Disney movies on VHS and the “Making of the Film” features or TV documentaries and learning about how they made an animated film. It inspired her to want to pursue a career in Animation.

Since 2019, Alicia has been commissioned to work on pitch projects as a Character Designer and helped bring many animated projects to life. She has also done Freelance work as a Jr. Designer for Spin Master, Inc. on Nick Jr.'s ABBY HATCHER, DreamWorks “Gabby’s Dollhouse” and on other special projects. Alicia has also worked for Quantum Mechanix, a pop-culture consumer products company where she worked in house as a Concept Artist designing toy collectibles and plush for DC, Marvel, WB and Sony Pictures Animation to name a few.
