Suite for Two Pianos by Beryl Rubinstein performed by Rubinstein along with Arthur Loesser. Written in 1939; recorded for Victor in 1941. Unfortunately, the sound is not up to the usual Victor standards of the time. Rubinstein (1898-1952) was a fairly well known composer and pianist. He was connected with the Cleveland Institute of Music from 1921 until his death. Arthur Loesser (1894-1969) was also at the Cleveland Institute. They often performed together. Arthur Loesser's brother was Frank Loesser, the famous Broadway musical composer. Arthur Loesser referred to himself as the evil of two Loessers.
