TRIP REPORT | This New Lufthansa is Much Better | Los Angeles to Munich | Lufthansa Airbus A350

Lufthansa Trip Report flying from Los Angeles to Munich onboard one of the Lufthansa Airbus A350 on a nice afternoon and morning over the USA and Europe.

A comfortable flight from Los Angeles to Munich onboard the Lufthansa A350 on a beautiful afternoon over California and Nevada as well as over Europe. The flight was completely full but still, the journey was quite ok, maybe because of the updated Lufthansa onboard service.

After an amazing planespotting session at Los Angeles International Terminal (definitely one of the best for planespotting worldwide), we boarded the Lufthansa A350 that would take us to Germany. We took off toward the Pacific Ocean, and once over the thick cloud layer that was covering Los Angeles, we made a more than 180° turn to start our route to Munich.

We flew in parallel to the San Bernardino mountains and entered Nevada. After leaving Las Vegas on our right and The Grand Canyon on the right, we entered Utah and continued our journey towards the north of the Rocky Mountains. Before reaching them, we met the night after a nice Sunset. During the night, over Canada, we could spot some Aurora Borealis. I hope you'll enjoy that beautiful view.

The Sunrise took place over the Atlantic Ocean, after passing Greenland and before reaching Ireland. We flew from Galway to Dublin and then in a direct course to London. We crossed the English Channel and entered Belgium. From there direct to Frankfurt and, finally, Munich, where we landed on time.

But let's talk about the elephant in the room: the renewed Lufthansa onboard service. First of all, I must tell you that YES! IT HAPPENED!. Lufthansa has finally updated its onboard service for, at least, the flights from the US west coast. Now they finally offer 2 warm meals! And, I must say that the main meal looks more elaborated, with not the typical chicken or pasta options.

In our case, we took beef as main. It came with a salad, a piece of lemon cheesecake, and bread with cheese and butter. The breakfast was just 1 option: some kind of simple quiche (mainly egg) with steamed potatoes and tomato sauce. A yogurt and a cereal bar were also included. I missed here some fresh fruit. That would be the perfect one, but it was fine. I can't complain, especially knowing the old service...
