Exploring Deer Lake Park | Boardwalk Trail & Lake Views

On a cloudy day with a light rain, we decided to visit the beautiful Deer Lake Park in Burnaby. The parking lot is conveniently located right at the beginning of the trail, directly across from the lake, which makes access very easy. From the very start, we were welcomed by a stunning view of the lake.

One of the most beautiful parts of this hike is the wooden boardwalks that run along the lakeside. A large portion of the trail takes you over these wooden paths, where on both sides you are surrounded by peaceful water views and tall reeds. Walking on the boardwalk while listening to nature creates a truly calming experience.

Watching birds swimming on the lake was incredibly beautiful. The combination of the misty forest atmosphere and the smoke rising from distant house chimneys created a magical and cinematic scene. That’s exactly why we chose this view for our video thumbnail.
