코바늘에 재미 부쳤네 부쳤어 ㅎㅎ
뜨개하시는 분들이 많이 하시지만 제가 겁을 냈던 두가지는
꽈배기와 코바늘 모티브였어요.
얼결에 첫 뜨개옷을 무려 자켓으로 떠버린 제가요 ㅎㅎㅎ
아직 꽈배기는 안해봤지만 올 초 저의 1년 프로젝트 그래니 블랑켓을 시작으로
겁없이 플뢰르 후디에 도전했어요.
살짝 엄살을 부려 소매는 그냥 메리야쓰 뜨개로...
옷이 점점 완성되면서 뱃속에 미소가 번지는 느낌...혹시 아실까요?
첫 바시티 가디건 이후 가장 맘에 드는 옷이랍니다.
잔 손질이 많이 가지만 캘리포니아 날씨엔 역시 얇은 외투가 딱이에요.
스웨터를 안뜨고 집 후디로 하길 너무 잘했어요.
색상도 제 나이에 어울리는 밝고 풍성한 자주색...
봄 타령을 한참 하고 다시 딥한 색 옷을 떳지만 아주 만족스러워요.
이제 다음 작품은 정말 산뜻 발랄한 올가 가디건으로 돌아올께요.

I've really gotten into crochet lately—like, really into it, haha.
There were two things that always intimidated me, even though they're super popular among fellow knitters and crocheters: cables and crochet motifs.
And yet, somehow, I ended up making my very first crochet garment... a jacket! Can you believe it? 😂

I haven’t tackled cables just yet, but earlier this year I kicked off my year-long Granny Blanket project, and that gave me the courage to try the *Fleur Hoodie*!
I took a tiny shortcut and made the sleeves in simple stockinette stitch... call it a bit of crafty drama.

As the piece started coming together, I could feel this little smile growing in my belly—do you know that feeling?
Since my very first Varsity Cardigan, this one has become my absolute favorite.

It does take a fair bit of finishing, but in California’s weather, a lightweight outer layer is just perfect.
I’m so glad I went with a hoodie instead of a sweater—it feels more like homewear and suits me just right.

And the color! A bright and rich plum that feels age-appropriate but still full of life.
While I was all about spring pastels a minute ago, I’m still super happy with this deep tone.

Next up? I’ll be back with the cheerful and playful *Olga Cardigan*!
