Actor Daniel Wu has been outspoken in raising awareness about anti-Asian attacks. Between mid-March 2020 and February 2021, the group Stop AAPI Hate tracked almost 4,000 anti-Asian hate incidents.

Daniel Wu says the tipping point for him to speak up was the string of attacks on elderly Asian people in the Bay Area in February, specifically the video of the 91-year-old man who was pushed to the ground.

Daniel Wu says it’s time for everyone to join forces against these acts of hate.
