A Celebration of Native Youth & Culture in OKC

This short video highlights the Red Earth Youth Fallfest held right here in Oklahoma City — a fun, welcoming, and inspiring gathering dedicated to the next generation of Native dancers and singers. Youth powwows like this are always something special. You can see the pride and joy on their faces as they take the arena, representing their families, their tribes, and their traditions.

This year’s Fallfest brought together many tribes and categories, each showcasing their own unique styles and regalia. It’s beautiful to witness how our youth embrace culture in their own way — blending tradition with the energy of a new generation.

I only captured a few moments on camera, but even those few shots tell a story of pride and community. Powwows like this remind us that the circle continues through our young ones — every beat of the drum and every step they take carries our traditions forward.
