A very rare 1937 Dobro Resonator Mandolin with original case!

This is a very cool piece. They were made from 1934 to 1938...I am calling this one a 1937 as it looks like the 1937 Resonator Mandolin by Regal.

I cannot verify the date BUT it has the correct Bell Bros Patented Tailpiece, as it should, so I am going with that.

This is a great playing Mandolin. I had Jeff the Tech go over it and make it play great. Excellent Action on this old timer. The neck is slightly separated from the body..see pic...but Jeff said it has probably been like that for years and it hasn't budged yet. It will not need a neck reset as the angle is great.

The Back and Sides seem like its Mahogany and the top a different wood. Not Spruce but perhaps Walnut. It is very dark. No crack to speak of overall. Its in great shape for a 1930's Mando...

The Resonator is pretty much decorative. I can't really tell much difference in sound from my other mandolins...It is appreciatively louder, so maybe that is what its for.

The Case is in good shape. As you can see it has the much used black duct tape repairs. I will leave any further repairs to the lucky new owner.

Sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. I have been handpicking vintage guitars for my customers for over 14 years now. They all love them and this one will not be an exception.
