Second part of the basic warmups. This part includes Huofa (活法mobility exercises), from Tongbei and Shuai Jiao (wrestling), along with Paidagong (拍打, literally clapping and hitting qigong). Stretch and open the body in every direction, draw the blood into the hands through the body, control the breath, the paidagong massages and conditions the body (hit very gently to begin with then gradually increase power).
In Tongbeiquan we spend a lot of time on singular exercises and drills, so (especially in the beginning) it's good to have a small set like this to make sure and exercise the whole body.
