How to stop pain when walking 🙌🏼
One trick that I remind myself of all the time is to take smaller and quicker steps ⏩️
You might be surprised at how different it feels ☝🏽
Especially when walking fast or walking with someone that has long legs, many people tend to naturally increase their step length but that can make hip and knee pain worse ❌
Instead, shorter and quicker steps can increase pace and speed without more stress ✅
⚠️ Warning: this does NOT mean shuffling your feet. Make sure you are still picking up your foot with each step to avoid tripping and falling ⚠️
Working on strength and balance is still very important to improve walking tolerance but this too can be a great start.
